About Me
Healer. Advocate. Storyteller. Human.
I'm a survivor, a healer, and a lifelong advocate for those who feel unseen. My journey through trauma, healing, and transformation has ignited a deep passion for helping others find their voice, reclaim their power, and create a life rooted in hope and wholeness.

My Story
I am a systems leader, advocate, and social work scholar — but at my core, I am a storyteller, a truth-teller, and someone who has spent my life sitting in the hard, complicated spaces where people are trying to survive, heal, and rebuild.
With more than two decades of experience in public systems, my work has focused on improving outcomes for individuals and families navigating disability, substance use, mental health, and the often overwhelming realities of complex service systems. I am known for my ability to take what feels disconnected and make it human again — bringing together policy, practice, and lived experience in a way that actually works for people, not just systems.
But my work has never been just about systems — it's about people. It's about the quiet moments behind closed doors, the stories that don't always get told, and the courage it takes to keep going when life doesn't feel safe, fair, or clear. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, deep compassion, and a belief that healing should feel accessible, not clinical or out of reach.
As an author, I create space for those experiences to be seen. My work blends clinical insight with creative expression, offering tools that are not only practical, but also honest, reflective, and deeply human. I write in a way that invites readers to feel understood — without judgment, without pressure, and without needing to have it all figured out.
At home in Pennsylvania, I am a proud and deeply devoted mother to four children — Izayah, Cohen, Joziyah, and Ellie. Much of my life is spent on the sidelines of ball fields, in the car between practices, or in the everyday moments that matter most. I share my life with my partner, Scott, and our four dogs, and I find peace in gardening, being near the water, traveling, and getting lost in a good book.
These pieces of my life — the personal and the professional — are not separate. They are what shape my work, my voice, and my commitment to building a world where people feel seen, supported, and able to heal in their own way.
Healing does not happen all at once — it grows, one step at a time.
